This is my great/grand (whatever the proper term) niece at her 3rd birthday last week. She's a little ball of fire (in a good way) and has two 5 year old twin sisters who add to the chaos. I enjoy them as much as my grandsons.
I was trying out my new Pentax 6x7, then went home and developed the roll to see if everything worked. This is wide open at f/2.4 on the 105mm lens to see if it produced the dreamy look it's known for. It does. Stopped down a little, it's very sharp.
I'm actually surprised she held still long enough to get it focused on her eyes with such narrow DOF.

What would you say to bumping up the contrast a bit?

I agree it looks pretty flat on here. I struggle with almost everything I post looking like the whites are almost blown out in Photoshop, then turning dim as soon as I load them onto FM. It's not a monitor brightness thing because I can see the difference on the same computer screen. I'll try taking them more to the edge.

I have the same problem. It's even worse on the Leica Forum. I'll get the photo looking good on my monitor, which is balanced, then upload and see the whites turn gray. The true test, of course, is how it prints. I'm sure this one will get printed, right? It's a beautiful image.
