X-E3 EVF Upside down

When I put my eye up to the EVF, the display flashes bright then goes dim and is then upside down.

Any ideas?

I get the feeling that this is probably a hardware failure....

It seems like a firmware issue but I don�t know for sure. Try reset to factory settings and if that doesn�t work, reinstall the firmware. If that doesn�t work it probably should get serviced.

Tried the update. No luck.

When the EVF fires up as you put your eye to the viewfinder, it comes on with a full white flash of the screen and then reverts to a dim view, upside down.
