p.1 #1 · Triggering a 2nd camera from the flash hotshoe of another camera
What's the minimal setup I would need to achieve this? I have an A7CR, and unfortunately it does not have a wired shutter input, which I wish I knew before buying it and is an unfathomably dumb and frustrating decision.... I have a 2nd A7RIV body (and maybe a 3rd camera) I would like to trigger to fire simultaneously for timelapes. I was thinking of using the A7CR as the primary using the built in intervalometer, and then somehow using the hotshoe on the A7CR to send a trigger signal to the A7RIV so they fire at the same time. Is there a simple way to do this?

There will be a lag. It's better to trigger all the cameras from one intervalometer if ytou want them all at the exact same time. There are also some with delays between each as was used for those Matriox style 3d image movements.

slight lag is fine since these will be long exposures
I actually just read someone had success with a usb-c to 2.5mm adapter, which I was led to believe was not possible for the a7c series. So I'll try that first since it would be easier and I already have a trigger splitter.
