A couple of years ago, during my visit to Iceland, I found myself at Stokksnes, determined to capture images of Vestrahorn and its striking black sand beach. It was close to midnight when I arrived, after a long day of exploring that included hikes to Svartifoss, a stop at Diamond Beach, and a visit to Hofn. Despite my exhaustion, the scenery at Stokksnes was spectacular, with vibrant green grass mounts contrasting dramatically with the dark sand and sunlight from left.
One of the biggest challenges was trying to find a patch of sand untouched by footprints—a futile endeavor, as it turned out. The weather was shifting rapidly, with clouds scudding across the sky and the wind noticeably picking up. This forced me to work quickly, snapping as many photos as I could during my brief stop.
Here are a few images I managed to capture of Vestrahorn and Stokksnes. Thanks for taking a look, and I welcome all your comments and critiques!

Despite the footprints, #1 is da bomb for me. Beautiful composition and processing. What an outrageously beautiful scene.
Thanks @kirbic, I am so glad that you found comp & PP done correctly. Those are areas I struggle with. Yes, the scene is absolutely incredible. Not to be missed area but it's also weather dependent as it does get quite cloudy. The first day I couldn't even see the mountain. Second day was beautiful.

The motion in the water make #2 my pick.
Thanks Dan, initially I was going after getting reflection of mountain but as winds were picking up it was really hard to time it. Glad you enjoyed viewing the set.

Very fine light conditions for the subject, KC!

Thanks Doug, the lighting was really amazing. This was my day 2 visit with first day being a non shooting day as the whole mountain was covered in thick clouds.

Parul - No matter. This is a portfolio any photographer would (should) be content with. Well done!
Thanks Rajan, what's amazing is how different green's looks in different light. Absolutely incredible area. Since winds were picking up I had to really hurry. I didn't even make it to the light house
