Thanks for your kind comments Dan.

The Royal British Legion ( https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/ ) is a charity supporting ex- servicemen and women and was set up in 1921.

Each year in November, in the run up to Remembrance Day, they sell artificial poppies for folks to wear to show their support.

For some years, they have offered enamel lapel pins as well as the usual paper poppies.

This is my collection of the pins from 2011 to 2024 (there are earlier ones, but they were issued in small numbers).

Did you serve in HM Service?
If you did..THANK YOU!! I served with some Brits, Auzzies and Kiwis's in Vietnam, 1967-1969. LOve them!!!
Did NOT like that marmite and vegamite spread they would put on their toast or crackers. Just me mate!

Had it not been for a "life experience" happening in 1973, I would probably be living in Australia or New Zealand.

Got off track!

Thank you for the explanation! Veterans of any Country should be recognized for the sacrifices they made so all can be free.
Thank YOU for honoring them also mate! Our "Veterans Day" is on the same day.
Dan

PS if you served let me know. I have something for you. If not I can STILL send something to you from a "Yank". Both of our County's have the same "Mother"!
PM me your address if you desire.
