The street I live on is undergoing a complete reconstruction with new gas lines, water feeds, sewer pipes and storm drains. Some of the old storm drains are 90 years old. It's quite a process to watch with multiple digging up, refilling, pounding down with a huge roller that vibrates and shakes the entire house. Today I went out in front of our house and shot photos to my left, to my right and one in the middle. The street is scheduled to be completed at the end of July. We'll see.

It occurs to me that it would take considerable amt of time to get to the piece of equipment needed, Brent!

It does look that way, but watching them work it almost seems like it's all been choreographed. They move around in concert and never get in each other's way. What really fascinates me is the delicacy those huge machines are capable of. The large excavators will drop a full bucket of dirt, then carefully smooth it out and gently tamp it down. Fun to watch

Boy this has to me a real nightmare for you residents Brent! All the noise, dust, traffic detours......But great for some nice "street people" shots!
