Under the cliffs on Dýrafjörður in Iceland’s Westfjords, the abandoned farm at Arnarnes lies exposed to the elements and alone. Its isolation is complete, the silence broken only by wind and birdcall.
#1 sure shows the isolation and massiveness of the landscape & mountain range
#2 I am a sucker for patina, exposed and crumbling rock, rusting metals and weathering wood, you got them all
#3 I really love this ones comp! The inclusive water is excellent

Thank you, Karl. As always, you really see the photos :-).
This is superb. Every time I see a post with your name on landing page of the Landscape forum, I know for a fact that I am in for a kind of visual feast of Iceland of the sort that has never been documented ever before. ;-)

Parul, nikwitzi, and twoflower - Thank you, all.
twoflower: I try to steer clear of the clichés (unless conditions are special). The world doesn't need to see another high contrast and over-processed photo of 'Diamond beach' :-)

Haha, ouch!
I concur, and I am going to need your expert help and guidance for the same, the next time I am going to come there. :-)
Number 3 for me, as it shows the relationship between the house, sea, and mountains. Certainly gives off a remote, desolate vibe. Would take a certain type to stand being out there on a cold, dark night in a raging storm.
These would work well in B&W too, with a bit of processing.
