I visited Kissena Park here in New York City with rain in the forecast. I was hoping to see some new born wood ducks yet they are still to come. As I walked around the lake, I noticed many swallows out hunting and as I love to photograph them I stopped and studied there flight patterns. Once I had them down I waited for the times that I knew they would be close enough to photograph. Studding the flight patterns greatly increases my keeper rate with these fast maneuverable birds.
