I just came back from my scuba trip and it was a treat.
We first had a night dive with manta rays. Our boat lit up a spot light to attract planktons from above for the manta rays to come in.
Then they set up some underwater lights in about 10m of water and we just sat at the bottom to watch these mantas feeding
on plankton.
Then the next morning we planned to do a dive at a manta cleaning station but were told that there was
plankton bloom at a near by lagoon with lots of mantas coming in to feast on the planktons
Visibility was very poor due to plankton bloom so I apologize for the quality of the pictures but
the experience was just incredible.

Thank you, I started diving about 40 years ago and this was the first time I got to see manta feeding en mass like this.

Wow, that looks like a blast! Great results on the night dive, and the bloom really didn't hurt you all that much, especially when the viewer knows what they are looking at. Very cool indeed!

Thanks Eric. Yes, visibility is quite a bit poorer than usual site popular for scuba diving and especially for the Maldives.
However, there is no way to avoid this to see mantas feeding frenzy. If we have the usual nice clear water, there is nothing
for the manta to eat and we won't see so many at once

I finally got around the edit video that I took of the mantas from the same dive.
Sorry, I am very new to Davinci and really have no idea what I was doing most of the time

Very cool. I did a similar night time freedive on the Big Island of Hawaii. Lots of large Manta's hanging around the "campfire" (the underwater lanterns)
