The ghost from the Atlai mountains of Mongolia and the shadow from Laikipia, Kenya.
I am often asked what to bring on remote trips....your own personal ER doc is a must....you just never know when one will be needed
That big fluffly tail in 6 looks like it could club you with just that, who needs tooth and claw?
Those eyes in 7 bore right through you... I can imagine that being the last thing you see when you stumble into that in the middle of the night. Yikes! Great stuff!
one of the most eye opening set of pictures i have seen. i hope you take really good precautions taking pictures like these in dangerous situations. the cat in picture #2 has that look of saying you're in my territory now and i am the boss here. the ruggedness of the terrain really adds to the effect of the pictures. thanks for sharing.
Impressive heft to the snow leopard and such great looking creature, really colored nicely to blend in to the environment. Such a thrilling eeriness in the 'shadows' ..... you caught some great moments and beat the challenging light to get them, great work buddy

Thanks Eric....they are impressive looking cats and the environment they live in is quite harsh. How they eke out a living there is quite impressive. There are domestic animals that they may prey upon when they get a chance

Superb set Eric. I love 8. So the question comes up, who takes care of the doctor when you are in the wild and it's you that needs the taking care of?
Morris
Thanks Morris....in fact that is what happened and fortunately I had my buddy who was able to get me through it.

Thank you.....it was a great treat to be able to see snow leopards in their natural habitat.....the melanistic leopard is one of my favorite cats of all time and have had the privilege to see her a few times now.

Karl
Thanks Karl....photographing the snow leopards was fun...until it wasn't but in the end survived. Photographing the black leopard is always a treat especially when you can shoot her full from with a 24-70mm lens from only a few feet away!
