I always find it inspiring in winter to go out after a fresh snowfall and recently had the opportunity after we received over 48 inches of fresh snow. Here are a few of my favorites.

Nice photos! Some of them have a strong magenta tint (especially the last 2), so you could alter the white balance a bit. (A very good method I got from a video with Albert Dros is: Shift the sliders for vibrance and saturation to the max temporarily, so that you can see which colors are present in your image. Then shift the WB sliders until the color balance is to your liking.)

48 inches, wow! I get excited when we get 4” in southwest Ohio. You took great advantage of the conditions, Scott, it’a a lovely set.
Thank you Ross! I appreciate the kind words. It was 48 inches over a few days and it stayed cold enough for the snow not to melt and stay good for a few days. It seemed like there was a photo opportunity in every direction!

Thank you Wurstus, I agree the white balance is a bit off on those last couple shots. It was at the end of the day and the light was much bluer in color temperature. I could have tweaked things a bit more and gone warmer on the white balance and some tint adjustment too. I was also playing around with the new Adaptive Profiles for Lightroom and Camera Raw and still trying to dial things in with that a bit. Sometimes it makes things either too monochromatic or with a strange color cast.
Anyone else playing around with Adaptive Profiles? If you don't know what they are, they are new Ai raw profiles under the profiles menu in Lightroom and Adobe Camera RAW that use ai to get your photo to a better starting point (in theory) for editing. I really like using them so far and have been using them more and more as I get them figured out and learn how they behave. They aren't perfect but I'm sure will improve over time, but it's worth at least trying it out on each image to see how it looks. Be sure to turn off all adjustments first and start with a neutral file with no adjustments. More about them here - https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/whats-new/2025-2.html

Somehow your post escaped me Scott. This is really fine photography! While all are extremely well seen and processed, exceptional detail and the fluffy texture of fresh snow.....a nice shot of "darker than snow exposure"...the last one I am really liking!
