p.2 #1 · Recent KEH experience as a learning opportunity?
I purchased two cameras from them-
They were film point and shoot- 4 days went by, multiple emails and calls, never shipped the cameras. Saying they couldn’t find them or this and that. I was refunded but I haven’t taken them seriously since that. It was about a year ago now.
p.2 #2 · Recent KEH experience as a learning opportunity?
I had to return a point-and-shoot digital camera to them. While the camera powered on, the lens immediately jammed in place. KEH handled the return well, but as someone mentioned earlier, it’s still a frustrating waste of time.
Building on the ‘learning opportunity’ mentioned by the original poster, could I ask which other used equipment sellers you’ve had good experiences with?
p.2 #3 · Recent KEH experience as a learning opportunity?
I often think that these s/h outfits buy stuff from estate sales (wouldn’t you?) and then superficially grade them on appearance and sell them on and hope for the best. Stuff they buy individually they check more carefully, as they are paying more for them, and have the opportunity to not accept them. This is not really a complaint, but it may be an explanation. I have used KEH for 20 years and never had a problem, buying and selling to them. The time wasting is a pain, but that’s all part of the risk you take when buying s/h.
