I love photo-essays of specific habitats and environments, as such I rarely post on the Nature Board unless I feel like I have a body of work that suggests something about the places I like to photograph.
Bruce, these are wonderful. Love the variety of species that can be found in one of my favorite places. Photographing in the fog is so cool and you got some great moody images. Hope to see more from there.

Thank you Eric...
When I was living in MN, I used to chase the fog because I like how it can be used to isolate our subjects and impart a bit of mood. If you are willing to forgo some of the clarity of moisture-free environment, the fog offers a lot to wildlife and landscape photographers.

Very nice. Not a place we get to often, too far away for a convenient "weekend," etc. I'm always surprised at how "remote" the area is given how close it is to San Francisco. We've visited mid-week so weekends might be a little less quiet, of course.

I understand.. Pt Reyes is anywhere from 2.5 hours to 5 hours from me. How long it takes depends on the amount of traffic in the Bay Area. I try to spend at least 3 nights in Pt. Reyes so I don't feel rushed. Each of my trips has resulted in new landscapes and new wildlife opportunities
