This old mill is one of the most photographed spots in eastern PA. After visiting for years, I finally captured the perfect shot with the ideal water flow and beautiful colors. I’m so glad I was there at just the right time!
This is the Old Grist Mill at Babcock State Park. Let me know if the photo size looks good on your screen; if not, I’ll upload a larger one (posting from my phone).
Thanks!
Just a beautiful composition my brother!
You hit the mill at "THEE" right time! The colors are spectacular!
I will just say this about the water.... tones? The vibrance of the leaves, the mill, the waterwheel allow the "water's overtone aka contrast(?)" to add separation to its surroundings. The "over contrast(?)" creates a sense of depth and structure.
It gives me a strong visual impact to the subject..the mill and significantly contribute to the depth and emotiveness of the photo.
The fact that your image enlisted constructive comments is a plus in and of itself!
Well done Emmanuel!

The mill's website , at least I think it is the website (I have it on my phone), has a live web-cam that updates every five minutes so one can see the condition of the fall colors prior to planning a visit.
