Building the MEC 1, an American, hand made Jump Hour watch. First production run is 50 pieces.
I met Judd through FM a few years ago when he bought a lens from me. We shared not only an interest in photography, but in watches. I learned he was in the process of building the MEC 1 Jump Hour and that the first deliveries had been made this year. It takes him between 3 and 5 days to produce one piece. I wanted to see the process myself, so I visited his workshop in S. Carolina to produce some art for an upcoming story on MEC. I was teased with drawings of the MEC II which will go in production next year.
Well, that is a nice story. And some nice images. Hope he does well with his watches. Love to get one, but I might not have the gear to sell to get one. But, maybe.
