Mr. Bug,
This is especially very well seen, composed, and exposed.
All the lines are in all the right places.
All the various angles of light, shadow, court markings and walls are pointing towards exactly where to look.
The subject size relative to his surroundings is perfect.
Cute kid too so there's that....
My only EXTREMELY minor nit....I'd like to see just a smidge more space above the word "ball"...like maybe a frog hair or two.
Print it. Hang it. Point to it and say "I did that!!"

Nice capture. Sometimes I forgot to shoot wide and capture these types of moments.
Thanks Stevo.
Sometimes you don't have time to even think about it. The shot was developing very quickly and I just rolled with what I had mounted. Anything more than that, and the moment is gone.
I agree with LB above in that this is very nicely seen and composed. I love the geometric structure caused by the pattern of lines, light, and shadow, which is then interrupted (enhanced?) by the chaos of a young child playing with a rubber ball in the middle of it all. Great reaction to the scene and great resulting image!

Congratulations on the Feature Thread win.
Jon
Thanks Jon.
Good to hear the geometry and timing come through. Thanks for the Congrats on the FT ... I didn't see that one coming.
