The Z7ii has 4k60 at a…1.08?…crop I think. Consensus is that the Z6ii footage looks better though.

Yeah Z6ii 4K footage is sharper than Z7ii and Z8 in 4k, but really only noticeable when pixel peeping. I shot a year long web series and ended up using the Z6ii more often as my A cam than the Z7ii because of that (before I swapped the Z7 for a Z8).

Yes indeed, that's a big reason for me. but I would prefer to have 4K60 in a Z6/7 sized body because a Z8 on my gimbal would be a tad bit top heavy.

Which gimbal are you using? I used a DJI RS3 for a few months with the Z8 and it was barely strong enough. I sold it off and probably going to go with the RS3 pro or RS4 pro, mainly because you can use the remote controller with the pro models.

I'm using an RS2 Pro with my Z6II and the 14-30. Occasionally I will throw the 35 f1.8 or 50 1.8 on there too. Although the gimbal seems to handle that kit reasonably well I really would not want to go with a heavier body. My wrists at this age can no longer handle anything that is more top heavy.

Nice, the 14-30 f4 is a great lens. As sharp as the 14-24 2.8S is, I would rather have a little longer focal length than one stop of light for run and gun. The only small gripe running the Z8 on a shoulder rig is that you can’t use a dummy battery, but for now I have a small Anker power bank that I can Velcro onto it
