On this Good Friday.

�orgeirskirkja is new (2000) but its location is of historic significance to the Icelandic nation. Around 1000 AD, the pagan chieftain �orgeir, who lived here on Lj�savatn farm, consummated Iceland�s adoption of Christianity by tossing idols of the Norse gods into the nearby Go�afoss (�Waterfall of the Gods�).
