Heartwarming photography, Matt!
Douglas
Thank you Douglas. Anyone who says animals don't have feelings, has never witnessed the bears and the way their care for their young.

Hi Matt.
Lake Clark is the bear destination I have wanted for a long time.... right on the salt flats with them and they are not concerned. I knew that.
I love that video. Whose garden is that? Lot's of work to get that in in the short season. Did not notice... is there a fence around it?
Favorite photo is the one of Old Sow.
Robert
p.s. the music sounds fine to me. I did not see deliverance.
Robert,
Thank you. Its amazing the bears know when to come to the salt flats for clamming. The best part of clamming is no blades of grass around the cubs feet. The garden is at the lodge so we get fresh food. The bears coming walking right though it, and a very considerate not to step on the produce.

I wanted to share a few images from Lake Clark National Park in Alaska. I host a few workshops there each year, and every year there is something different.
I also shot some video (I am enjoying putting one together after each trip). My apologies on the music, I was going from some thing a bit rustic, however my wife says is sounds like the Deliverance movie.

Don't trust that mother bear! I don't like her look
Beautiful pictures. One day I want to visit Alaska.
The mother bear is so comfortable with people. She just rolled over about 30 feet from us, pulled her cubs in, and started nursing. She does have a bit of a look on her.
