I ended up with 24 Elmar. It's a pretty sweet all around carry. It's wide enough for most things, but has minimal distortion so you could use it like a Q. It also carries very light with digital M.

I like 24mm, but if I have a 24mm or 25mm I feel the need for something like 18mm. If I have 21mm, then I don't feel the need for something wider. That is why I have the 21 SEM. That is just me, however.
This is how I think of it too.
18 + 25 + 50 + 90 (you can either go long or wide for a three kit set)
15 + 21 + 35 + 75 (same if you'd like a 15 or 75 for a 3 lens kit)
Personally, I find the 21+35+75 to be most consistent being able to cover everthing beyond special needs (indoor sports or birding or such).
Despite wonderful 28 and 50mm option, I am natural 35mm shooter, so my kit is built around that. But sadly, 75mm options are more limited. I am happy with 21mm options.
I feel the 28mm options are more limited while the 50mm options are beyond plentiful. The 90 and 18 are also not as populated. So there is those considerations as well.
My gut feeling without real life shooting is to go with 21/35/75. These numbers just sound right. In real life shooting 24 gets way more use than 21. I'd like to have 75 APO eventually, but 90 Elmarit is what I'm going to keep as my 3 lenses kit for this year. 24 Elmar, 35 FLE and 90 Elmarit.
