Photo buddy an I went on a week long trip to Sax Zim. This was the 3rd trip to Sax that we have taken. Also the slowest action for us this time around but still very much worth the 13 hour drive there. Just seeing a Pine Martin for the 1st time was worth the trip for us. Then once we got home we found that the local reservoir had a decent number of eagles and had a great hole of unfrozen water just off the bank that the eagles were fishing in. I haven't posted in a very long while and man did it feel good to get back behind the lens for a few weeks. Thank you for your time my friends.
Sweet variety of subjects, level #4 please and that is all the nits I have
Really nice presentation on the eagles, love the hawk in shred mode!! The owl is mesmerizing, very cool shots of it. Pine Martin images are simply awesome Quite the angle on the last one!!

Karl you my friend have no idea how much you have given to the FM and photography community. It has been so many years now that you have given me so many little nits ( or in the beginning big nits) that I just did not pick up on that would for sure improve the image. #4 is definitely not on plane and I or many others would never of picked up on that. I have had 3 mentor's in my years in wildlife photography and you sir are one of them.
Al Freeman taught me almost everything I know and feel once I raise the camera up and start to process what is going in the frame. Al would jump at any second and bam we were off for a trip shooting something new.
Victor Nemeth has become a great friend of mine over the years. We meet at the Old dutch shooting the eagles nest and just kind of connected. Vic and I would only shoot together a few times a year. At that time he was a busy guy and had to plan out hid days off. Vic is now recently retired and I hope that helps us shoot together more often.
You sir are mentor #3. From the 1st day I picked up my Canon Rebel and started posting here you have taken the time to point out the flaws and missteps that I have taken. The time that you have put into PM'ing me and teaching me about the processing of the images that I have captured has changed me as a photographer. You are so polite yet so helpful. You have continued to do this for so many years and countless photographers. It is amazing how many photographers you sir have touched and have made them so much better at their craft. I truly regret that we live so close but we never shoot together.

I'm flattered and I thank you friend! It is the best reward when those that are mentored surpass those that mentored them in the quality and quantitative aspect of their craft ..........I can now learn too from you
