I normally leave this location frustrated because the feeding is most often too far away. I was focusing on a Green Heron when this male popped up from under a snag off to my left. Thankfully he passed in front of me for a few seconds while trying to get his catch under control before swimming away. Thanks for taking a look ! All comments and critiques appreciated.

I think that last shot is sweet, the swish of the head plumage is impressive! Great solid shots @ 840mm

nothing like being in the right spot at the right time. phenomenal sequence of pictures. once he had the crayfish in his beak, he was determined to have his meal. thanks for sharing.

I guess catching it is probably the easy part. That's a lot of work they have to do with no hands
