I'm jelly here....living in Calgary and having places like this literally in your back yard!! Lovely images!! The colors in #2 draw me in. How do you like the Laowa?
Al Trujillo: Glad you like the images and the colour in 2. Calgary is a wonderful place. It would be nicer to be an hour (that's how long to this wonderful location) but that's whining about paradise. The laowa is great - 12 mm and sharp - its downsides are not exif curable with good memory , and slight yellow curable cast - but there is not a better 12mm lens. I use the ef flip in adapter and it works quickly with my ts17,ts24 and ef 24-105f4 v1 - limited filter fussing. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
Kee Woo Rhee: Glad you find the photos inspiring. This is my toughest season - leaves are gone, and it's too early for snowshoeing. [But I get to get up 2 hours later ] So I am glad this picture worked for you. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
Ancocene: Glad you like the light in the first image. It was really close in and the angle is really wide but I like how it worked. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
like them both, but the pov in the first is more appealing to me.
wonder if you can find a framing combining both: staying to the left as #1 and seeing the bend but including the shore like the #2

Glad you like the first. I will look at my shots but 12mm is tough because it brings all the items in. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

Hi Scott,
By all means, I understand what you are saying > I like uwa, but they are hard to use.
Are you willing to do a panno? Obviously the water movement will be a challenge, and likely moving back a few feet back not possible.
I do like both shots - just find the framing in the first more appealing to me
Both great 👍
Bacalhau: Pano is possible (water is frozen which would creat stitching issues) but hard to not create Frankenstein at this distance (2'). Maybe just shifting 2' to the right. Thanks for the input. Much appreciated. Scott
CDalessandro: Glad you like 1. It is one of the easiest shots at this place which is only 5 minutes from Canmore. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

Scott,
A stunning photo and setting

Glad you like the stunning setting. Its a very photogenic spot, but with low water, I think it works better at really really wide (12mm), in case you visit it. [We have had a very dry summer] Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
