p.54 #4 · Nikon Zf as a platform for adapted/native manual focus lenses
With all the latest firmware updates: does the ZF do anything different/better than the Z6III concerning focus confirmation and handling of manual focusing lenses? I have not been following this in detail.
I preferred the body of the Z6III to the ZF, which I found heavy and not good to hold even with a grip. Still debating... I own a Z7 right now.

The Z5ii should be on your radar instead if all you want is a Zf with better ergos. They are basically the same camera.

I saw a local acquaitance, Grady Carter, while at a local camera store, yesterday. He had a Brightin Star 28mm M-mount lens on his Nikon Zf, with which he certainly seemed well-pleased. I found his “‘gram” page:

Only in so far as using the appropriate lens profile in Light Room (which, there isn't one for the 35/1.5, so I used the 40/1.2 profile instead).

It's an Urth dumb adapter purchased off Amazon. I'll probably get the TT-Artisan 6-bit adapter if it comes back in stock.
I have the TT 6 bit but the focus scale on the lens doesn't' correspond to the real distance.
I'm ok with that while I shoot on the street with zone focusing but just so annoying.
I also have FTZ II for F to Z mount but adapter just bulky IMO.

Yeah, the TTA adapter is a bit too short which makes lenses focus past infinity. For me that makes zone focusing nearly impossible (unless I'm stopped down more than I often want to be). I've toyed with the idea of adding some shims to fix this but haven't bothered yet.

I would find a object that is about 2m away to adjust the focus scale on the lens first.
Keep the shutter speed at least 1/250, and aperture at least F5.6. I don't mind to bring the ISO up since I'm shooting digital, lol
I also want to know if the VM adapter is accurate.
