Definitely cropping, the building on the left on the uncorrected image has 2 windows visible.

I think that's the point that @Rivermist is making, and I agree: the lens is actually 9mm, being cropped to 10mm, thus you have two windows on the sensor and cropped to one for 10mm perspective. In the EVF I see only the corrected image.

Manually correcting in Lightroom at 10mm reminds me quite a bit of the Samyang 14mm f/2.8 (full manual) lens I have - that 'stretched' look applied to nearer objects is fairly distinct, as is the slight moustache distortion that Adobe's built-in manual lens distortion tool leaves behind. The Canon is much better than the fairly egregious Samyang though.
I wonder if there is much functional difference between shooting at the widest focal length, versus zooming in a smidge, with respect to across-frame resolution and actual field of view, not to mention the amount of vignetting correction needed?
Also, since it popped into my head: it would be nice if Canon were to implement an electronic shutter feature to expose the vignetted (but not physically cropped) areas longer for landscapes and the like in order to even out the exposure and prevent excessive / uneven noise from raising the exposure during vignetting correction.

Look at the raw files that I provided and see for yourself (it's the latter, as other lenses like the 14-35 or 24-240 demonstrated before)

I downloaded Stan's files and opened in LRC, but I haven't updated past v12.4, so no profiles were found for the lens and it is shown without any corrections. I applied a radial gradient to the 10mm f/8 file, since f/8 is probably where I would use such a lens for landscapes, etc. The gradient was 2 stops. I ran the file through Enhance with the default 50% intensity and it cleaned up noise pretty effectively. I'd probably go this route rather than blending a couple files at different exposures.

Just got mine. Here is an example of a soccer/football field. I have three versions, one processed on DPP with the lens correction, the other on LRC with no lens corrections, and the last one is the .CR3 CRAW file.

When and where did you place your order? I put a preorder in with Canon on day 1 but the order status still hasn't changed. I'm no longer too hopeful of getting this lens before the holidays.

I ordered from B & H on announcement day, October 11th. It was right when announced.

I also ordered on the 11th, but through Canon. I somewhat suspected ordering directly from Canon would put me further back in the queue, but it was hard to pass up the employee discount.

I've done simultaneous B & H and Canon orders for new releases in the past. I think my Canon orders have come in first most of the times. This time I only ordered from B & H and got lucky

In one of his earlier posts Stan implied that his sample images were Lightroom processed and had corrections applied. The third image did not. Are you running the latest version of LRC? I'm still on 12.4 and it naturally did not have profiles for the lens when I tried Stan's sample files.

I'm on LRC v13.01. It tells me I'm up to date. When I enable the Lens Profile Corrections, it doesn't find anything. When I select Canon for the Make it pulls up the Canon RF 16mm F2.8 STM. I then try scrolling through the models I can't find the RF 10-20mm.
The RF 16mm F2.8 will provide some correction and get rid of the "clipped" corners, but crops too much into the image. The RF 14-35mm actually does a fairly decent job, though still some bowing in the yellow line at the bottom it also includes more of the goal on the left side.
