Does the lens become heavier with the "Titan" finish? I tried out the Noctilux-M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH, and I found it to weigh 768 grams, which is more than what Leica states in their specifications.

It would be very strange of Leica to have an anodised finish that looked like Titanium on a lens in this price-bracket, unless just for those with Titanium cameras who want a colour match.
I also agree with you that it will be very very heavy even in titanium vs aluminium. Strange lens to choose for this finish but I guess a titan 28 summicron won't be as popular with the measurebators.
It's nice to see that Leica has so far done nothing to fix the titanium finish issue for those who bought the limited edition titanium M-As, but instead brought out this lens.
Stone walling, thy name is Leica.
Unless you're gonna be cool with the possibility of the finish peeling off this lens, I'd hard pass on it.

What's the issue on those? I was shopping around for a collectible set lol

Interesting. I've never heard of that. Must be upsetting getting a limited editon titanium that starts peeling. Did it happen with the Leica 35/1.4 Pre-asph v2 titanium?

I've only heard of it with the latest titanium M-A set - on the lens and body. The lens is a 50 APO that is also supposedly solid Ti.

The peeling doesn't look aesthetically pleasing. It's possible that they weren't aware that the special edition set was not meant for actual use.

If that happened on a new $200 lens I'd ask for my money back. But on a $20,000 kit? The most disturbing part is Leica has not addressed the issue with any of the owners who complained.
This is why I have no interest - even if money was not the issue - with the new Ti 50 0.95.
At the highest level of aesthetics
Made of finest titanium, this special edition represents design, manufacturing quality and imaging performance at the highest level. Qualities associated with a long tradition at Leica and proven over and over again by our engineers and employees through products like the Noctilux-M 50 f/0.95 ASPH. "Titan".
Optical Masterpiece. Timeless Elegance
The Noctilux-M 50 f/0.95 ASPH. "Titan" limited to 100 units, perfectly complements the elegant design of M-Cameras in a titanium finish. All of its essential housing parts are made of solid titanium, a high-grade metal known for its exceptional durability and elegant appearance. It is a tribute to one of the cornerstones of Leica's philosophy: Enduring value Made in Germany.
The Light Giant
As the fastest M-Lens, the Leica Noctilux-M 50 f/0.95 ASPH, "Titan" captures nuances even in low light conditions that are hardly perceptible to the naked eye. With its extremely shallow depth of field at an open aperture, it creates images with a unique bokeh and incomparable visual aesthetics. Its image quality is truly second to none - clear, natural, and unmistakable.
I think its time to update the Noct. Its like all of the long running TV series. There is only so many All-Star seasons, or celebrity seasons you can run before its time to cancel it.
16K for this lens is absurd, I don't care what color you paint it.
