Beautiful shots of beautiful kitties (huge cat person here). I’m sure this lens will serve you well. I met a feline Luna on my local walking trail recently.
Had the opportunity to shoot media day for the Syracuse Crunch this week and used the 20-70 for the promo station.
Didn't get close to 20mm at all, rather I set it between 50/70 and zoomed creatively to stay on the backdrop as much as possible. Zoomed with my feet a bit too. The minimal weight of the lens was so welcomed. I don't think it missed focus even once. Used my 35-150 for the head-shot station. Supper happy with the price - performance here. Still waiting for a 24-105 v2
1/200 - F13 (to avoid any `Moire in their sweaters) ISO 640.
I got to try out shooting a motorcycle event with my 20-70. I wasn't sure how it would do but even in the mixed light of the forest I had an excellent hit rate on the autofocus. I never thought I would be shooting motorcycles at 20mm but I'm happy with how those turned out. There were some shots where the out of focus areas got a little distracting but it's not something the riders will complain about.
let's see if I can get this embed from smugmug to work...
