Second set of Mountain Goat images taken in the last few weeks. There were a lot of kids this year but they were in areas I just couldn't get too. Way too high and steep.
First of all ...... YGMV again! These are stunning Greg. Subject so nicely presented in the environment makes for a fantastic image all around, nice comps, superb scenery
Your presentation on fur is second to none, exquisite IMO. How do you get the eyes sharp in the different planes? #6 is a beast of a fine portrait Greg, you have several that are standouts, depth, detail, color and scenery and comps!!

Thanks Karl, I always appreciate your comments. Their big eyes are amazing, the amber color beautiful and from what I understand they can see up to a mile away. Thanks again for taking the time to comment.
The inclusion of wonderful surrounding in most of the images makes this set exquisite. As in the previous set, Greg, you did impressively well in capturing and presenting the set!

Wow, what a joy to view! All excellent for various reasons. #6, nice portrait, almost human like stare. #4, would they go down that?
Doug - Thanks, I appreciate it. And to answer your question, yes they could easily climb down that incline. They are amazing animals and they climb around in the cliffs as easily as you and I walk on a flat surface. I attached a few more images that show some of what they are capable of.
It must have taken years for you to train these mountain goats to pose for perfect photographs.
Wow, what terrific photos!
The environmental compositions are superb.
The shots of them jumping from rock to rock are amazing.
You have posted great photos of them for a long time and I look forward to many more.
