Thanks for the comment. That would be the case with the R5. I don't use ES for that because it is only silent and hard to tell how many exposures you are making.
Why do you care how many exposures you are making? If it is because of file size, then why not shoot in C-RAW?
You need almost 2x the focal length on the low-res R6 II sensor (1.87x) or you need to be twice as close to the species.
Otherwise you are getting only 9MP in the field of view of the 32MP R7.
