Last night we were treated to a spectacular thunderstorm across much of Southern Oregon. I was fortunate enough to capture several bolts, this image being my favorite of the set. It is fairly unusual for us to to get lightning in May. What a treat!
Beautiful. Did you use a trigger or just shoot a lot and get lucky. I've been thinking that a tripod and interval at the shortest between shots duration might work ok.
I lived in Murphy(Grants Pass) and worked at Crater Lake NP in my very younger days. LIghting always scared everyone because of fires.
This is a wonderful composition. The Rogue River valley was my most favorite area! Jet boat rides then dinner.
Again beautiful!
