Back in December, there were reports that the Fujifilm X-Pro3 was starting to be discontinued by some stores. The trend has continued and now B&H Photo and Adorama have also marked it as discontinued, Despite this, it's possible that Fujifilm will continue with the X-Pro line and I am eager to see what the X-Pro4 will bring.

I stuck my neck out in various places online and laid out why I think there may not be a XPro4. Maybe we'll find out if I have to eat my words or not! ;-)

I highly doubt they will discontinue it myself. The X-Pro has always had it's own following. People were worried analog dials were going away before the XT5 showed up.

I wonder how much this has to do with the class-action lawsuit regarding the defective ribbon cable in the X-Pro3, and how much is due to a pending replacement? I'd be surprised if they gave up on the range-finder style body. It's fairly unique and definitely has a following.
I kept my X-Pro2 even after getting an X-T5 since it's so fun to tote around on travel with small primes. I know you can take any photo with any camera, but there's something about the X-Pro series that makes me slow down and photograph differently.

I've been using the XT-5 for a few months now and I miss my x pro 3, largely the form factor though I never used the OVF. I'll get the 4 if it has IBIS so hoping they release a new model this year.

Fuji has always been prepared to have bodies with different form factors to satisfy different photographic needs. I hope this will continue. The longer product cycles these days might allow them to recover the development costs. With the iphone hollowing out the bottom end of the market, I think it is products like the X-Pro and X-T5 line which are more likely to survive than the entry level lines.

I had a mostly different reaction, with one brief contrary reaction this past weekend.
I replaced my XPro 2 with a XT5 months ago. I was impressed by the compact design of the XT5, the great layout of the manual controls, the design of the rear screen, the 40MP sensor, IBIS, the quality of the EVF.
On the other hand, while I liked my XPro2 a lot, the appeal of the OVF was wearing off after all these years, and more and more I found myself using (and liking) the EVF. I felt that the XPro3 was a downgrade from the XPro2 from my perspective. I wasn't sure when or if a XPro4 would arrive... and what direction Fujifilm would go with it should there be one.
I'm very happy with the XT5. It is a super versatile camera that producing excellent image quality. It also works very well for my primary use — street photography. This past weekend I took it to NYC with just the 27mm f/2.8 WR and it worked great.
The brief contrary reaction? One reason I was in NYC was to give the XPro2 to one of my sons. As I took it out to hand it over to him and explain a few operational features, I felt a momentary nostalgia for this excellent camera. But after I left I took that XT5 out into the street and made more photographs. :-)

I think the X-Pro series is very cool, but sold my X-Pro3 when I saw all the back screen failures, and Fuji charging $600+- to fix.
I had an Olympus Pen F and really liked how they implemented the back screen. Either full visible, or flip it around and just a plain back. It also had far more articulation than the one on the Xpro3. The Xpro3 should have had a back like that, I found the small LCD panel silly.

The X-T4, X-H, and X-S have the same style articulating screen.

I had (until last Saturday!) the XPro2. Loved the camera and its fixed, rear-facing screen. My feeling about the "plain back" option is that it is just as easy to leave the screen off, in which case the back is... plain.
I do like the design on the XT5 screen, since I can do "waist level," overhead, or vertical with it.

I'd be perfectly fine with a fixed screen. Especially if that affords the room for IBIS to be added into the body without increasing the size. That would be a win, IMO.
Somehow I managed to survive with a fixed screen on my past Leica, Canon, and early Sony cameras and *gasp* without a screen before that, so having a fixed screen isn't in any way a problem from my perspective.
I'd like to see Fujifilm focus on core functionality with the XPro bodies anyway, so that would be a step in the right direction.
The flip out screen on the XPro3, while a good idea IMO, was problematic for the cabling apparently, so maybe they should forego that and use a fixed one instead.

Yup I would take reliability over a limited functionality flip screen any day.

Even if they discontinue the XPro line, I will always love my XPro3. It's perfect as-is IMO. If they come out with an XPro4, I will buy that too but I will still keep the XP3.
