JUST ANNOUNCED: The Sony ZV-E1, the smallest & lightest full-frame interchangeable lens camera for video creators.
The ZV-E1 comes packed with some extraordinary features:
• Powerful Al processing offering Auto Framing, Framing Stabilizer, Multiple Face Recognition & Auto Microphone directivity-you gotta 99 it to believe it!
• Cinematic Vlog Setting, an intuitive way to capture scenes with the look of feature movies
• S-Cinetone, as found in @Sonycine Cinema Line technology, for natural skin color reproduction straight from the camera
• 35mm full-frame back-illuminated CMOS sensor and the new BIONZ XR™M image processing engine delivering high sensitivity, low noise and gorgeous bokeh
• 10 bit 4:2:2 internal video recording, 4k recording at 60p and 120p
• In-camera timelapse creation!
Sony needs to release A7C II with the AI processor from this camera (same as a7RV) and 33 Mega Pixels. It will be an instant hit.
This camera is not for me, but I watched the Verge video and Sony is heading in the right direction IMO. Vloggers don't want to become technical experts in camera systems, but they want to produce the same high-quality videos as more popular YouTubers like MKBHD and Casey Neistat. The full frame sensor in this camera will produce enough bokeh and details to make the footage standout from typical smartphone videos. It is perfect for Youtubers and TikTokers.
My only complaint is the body, if FX30 (Even cheaper than ZV-E1) can have the FX3's build quality, cooling etc why not this. But that would have meant Sony releasing FX3 at cheaper price lol

That auto-DOF group portrait mode the ZV-E1 has, I have been wanting for a long time on a stills camera for event shots.
Yes, ZV-E1 has some pretty interesting, albeit video, features. It makes me wonder why no 4k120p yet as the hardware seems to be there already in older models...

The OP listed:
"10 bit 4:2:2 internal video recording, 4k recording at 60p and 120p"
I’m not in their target public but I think the smart reframing stuff very interesting if only they realized that would be very useful for photography too
- the automatic reframing/stabilization could work to correct camera tilt like Leica does
- it can calculate the DoF between two subjects, so this could easily be used along focus bracketing by letting me chose two points on the screen and the camera do the rest
and other stuff from videographers, like custom LUT, that could be used with RAW files to speed up post processing, cineEI to always shoot in the optimal ISO, and focus mapping that would help pulling focus using PDAF sensor eliminating the guess work maybe even bring subject recognition/eye focus to MF lenses
