Hi All,
I visited my birth country after almost 6 decades and it did not disappoint
We visited Amboseli, Nakura, Naivasha and Masai Mara (Zebra Plains and Mara Eden). What I love about Africa (Kruger, Kalahari, Botswana, and now Kenya) is the light and this visit was was no exception.
Seeing Nisha's golden light shots has prompted me to share some from my recent trip
Some of the salient aspects of the trip
1. Made many friends
2. The sunrise and sunsets are to die for
3. Wide open spaces in the parks
4. Lions dominate the Masai Mara park, elephants dominate Amboseli
5. Masai and the other cultures are fascinating
6. All days brought surprises.

1 - 2 elephants, 2 balloons and a lone tree

2- morning golden light - Topi Pride with bellies full at play

4- Male lion with Mt Kilimanjaro in the BG

5- annoyed or bored?

6- Amboseli mother with child

7 - antelope sunset

8- fish eagle flyby

9- the mighty Craig one of the last few remaining 6Ft tusker, upclose and personal

10- sunrise magic

11- Gernok -one of the most elegant antelope which is found in Amboseli

12 - leopard during the day

Superb KD. Elephants and hot air balloons is an unusual and effective image. The second is my top pick yet every image is super.

indeed it did bring back some of the memories and yes your drunk SEO was amazing.
it was a very touching trip to reconnect back with my birth country

Nice variety and lighting types. I love both pics with Mt Kilimanjaro in the background, really gives a sense of place.

What a gorgeous set, KD!! It's interesting that Steve's images were totally different - I guess you have a gazillion of unprocessed photos somewhere.

thanks so much. Kenya was an exciting trip for me and I experienced so many emotions.
