p.2 #1 · Barcelona Spain , best places for street photography and any other thoughts
A few years back a client rented me an Air Bnb in Barcelona for a month to do a project, i would say 75% of my down time was spent in the immediate vicinity of MACBA, it is a museum that is heavily used by skateboarders and free spirited people. Very easy going, everyone's used to seeing cameras out so youre not going to be looked at in a weird way. Its a great start the day off type place. Also, about 50 paces from the Macba building youll see a little coffee shop that usually has outdoor tables with umbrellas and they serve a mean espresso.
The MACBA area is pretty central to a lot of cool areas as well

We are planning a fall visit to Barcelona early November. We've never stayed there overnight, but may be doing so for a few nights.
In addition to areas of the city (the above comments are helpful), anyone have any hotel recommendations, or areas of the city best for hotels for tourists? We're travelling with another couple, both he and I will have camera gear.
Our hotel preference is for something a bit on the luxe side, but still value for money. In other words, not cheap, but not Four Seasons level. An on-site restaurant is preferred.

When I was there, I stayed in Hoxton, Poblenou. It's quite a luxurious hotel. You can check that out. Moderno is also a good alternative hotel. My guide Pablo helped me a lot to book the transportation and hotel. In case you want someone, you can get one from https://gowithguide.com/spain/barcelona and Since your preference is luxury, they can definitely help with that.
