The fast SS sure caught some amazing action and did great on freezing the water drops. The BG is seamless and beautiful in each. #14 is my top pick, that shot with the water trail is wonderful #15 what a catch on your part and tease for the Reddish!!
I wondered what the fish was in #5, I'm glad you mentioned it thanks.
Your profile says 'amateur' photographer? These are far far above that rating so perhaps it's time to remove 'amateur' IMO
Amazing and beautiful imagery with pleasing presentation .........

What’s not to love about these ! Such an amazing set . Oh , but how I would love to spend time wth a reddish so close . Joy would fill my heart .
I find each one has something very special about it, whether it be the pose, lighting , detail , water movement , backgrounds or action..
However 1, 6, 10, 14 and 18 really stand out for me.

I hope you get the opportunity and can share the images with us. I would like to see your take on them.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. My favorites were 9 and 14. I could have easily posted 40 more but didn't want to annoy the forum police again
I had to check my front element a couple times to make sure it didn't get splashed. Some shots were missed because I really like the low angle and shoot off the flip screen. It's more difficult but worth the effort. If the lens hood doesn't get muddy or wet occasionally the angle isn't low enough.
I realized looking back on this set I didn't post many with wings out shading the water or dashing across the water shots. Next time.
gorgeous. i don't think there is any way you could make them any better. you must have really enjoyed being there to see and photograph these beautiful birds. thanks for sharing.

Amazing - everything is so great. Not sure what focal you are using, but gosh, they let you get close - lick you
Thanks for sharing
Thanks! All shot at 600mm on full frame. I was very close. Often too close to focus. Sitting down on the shoreline to get water level shots also reduces my height profile and they are not afraid to get really close.
Beautiful hereons you have to compared to here. We have two in New Zealand, white faced heron and the reef heron. Nothing as beautiful at these. Fantastic details, behaviour and action. Top work.
