p.4 #1 · Are there any camera straps that cannot be cut?
What an utter train wreck of a thread this has become!
A reminder. Here is the question we are supposedly answering:

The answer has been shared a few times. Yes, there are several products like this, and even bags — some that are photography specific — that have such security features. Whether you or I or anyone else here thinks that is good, bad, or indifferent, the question has been answered.
Let's all just let this thread die quietly, OK?

On the bright side, I (we?) have identified one more member for the "hide me" file. Invoking it leaves only seven messages on the previous page for me. :-)

One more thing: How about a forum New Year's resolution to try to answer serious questions, even if they area basic, with some decency and consideration. It is up to us to keep this place from continuing its descent into constant verbal brawling.
Instead of, "You are a jackass and how could anyone be so dumb! You probably failed kindergarten. Your camera is stupid, too! Look, a pony! Oh, right, you are an idiot. And, yes, that lens is $599..." just try this instead: "Yes, that lens is $599."

Surprise, surprise, look whose blah, blah, blah is keeping this thread from dying.
A HIDE ME preacher. Funny.
The OP asked specifically about camera straps, not bags or other protective options.
Perhaps in 2023 some will learn that specific forums were created for specific subjects.
Canon gear in the Canon Forum. General gear questions in the General Gear-talk Forum. Trip advice and questions in the Trip Location Advice & Meet-ups Forum, not in the Nature & Wildlife Forum.
The different forums were created to make it more convenient for members to find the subjects they are interested in. Too complicated for some

One wonders what it implies when someone needs to continuously announce his Hide Me list. And yes, this subject had nothing to do with Canon…wonder why the Hide Me kid didn’t play forum police and let everyone know this post is in the wrong board…he loves to be heard.

People with NPD tend not to recognize their condition, and even if they acknowledge the traits they have, they usually see them from the grandiose perspective inherent to the disorder.

I use OpTech camera straps. It occurred to me that if you know someone competent with a sewing machine that they could overstitch a thin stainless wire to the nylon webbing where it might be vulnerable. Carry a small sewing kit to restitch the webbing after the attack. Think of all the bragging rights when you show off the many scars on your world travelled strap.

Not sure what to think of this post. I have travelled to many corners of the Earth with serious camera gear since the mid-seventies, often alone, including Europe (a lot), Russia, the Middle East, Africa, South America, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, etc. etc. Basic rules: use understated packaging like the Domke canvas bags, generic neck straps, never leave anything in a car , and be aware of your surroundings and what part of town you are in. My recent experience is that there is less and less interest in heavy, conspicuous and specialized high end DSLRs, mirrorless or otherwise, it is too exotic. Cell phones, watches, jewelry are much more easy to take away and are more "liquid". In Brazil in 2019, out of 200+ tourists at the Christ Redeemer, Sugar Loaf or Iguana Falls locations, there was maybe one other person with a camera that was not a cell phone. Oh, and don't forget insurance. In the really rare instance in which someone really wants your stuff, just give it to them, not worth risking bodily harm, buy new gear when you get home.

Good advice.
And if you do have good insurance (and decent credit) you can probably even replace gear while traveling in many cases if something does happen.
Of course, this is not to say that folks who feel better with some kind of secure bag/strap shouldn't go ahead and get it. No harm from that either.

I'll share a story that might be relevant. We've traveled a lot this last decade or so. We've never felt threatened, but have been harassed by street vendors. We stopped in Istanbul, in the old city near the museum, Hajia Sofia, and Blue Mosque. Our first day we were harassed unmercifully by rug merchants, etc. The next day, my wife wore a head scarf and I removed my hat and sun glasses. Instead of my DSLR, I carried my G1X. We wandered the same area and were not approached a single time. I think we still looked like tourists but were indistinguishable from other non-european/american tourists. The moral, blend in as much as possible.

We were in Portugal in 2011 and did a bus tour to Spain, Gibraltar and Tangier. Only a day trip to Tangier and apparently the local guide does not get paid but he is connected to the carpet stores in one of the old markets. They let is wander around for a while an even told us not worry. Like anywhere tourism is important and thieves don't do well if caught.
After are exploring we all met again and went to a carpet store which we tolerated. A kid saw I had a camera so he took us to the roof so we could get some skyline shots. When we left it was awful. The locals knew we were coming so we had to walk through a long gantlet and they shoved their trinkets in front of our faces.
I think that was the only time we have done a bus tour. We went last minute and didn't know the areas well. After we rented a car and went back to the places we liked. The point of the bus story is on the way to Lisbon I got a shot on the highway going 80 kph which is in my top 10 pictures of all time. Opportunities as presented.

I was aware of this bag cutting story but in reality I found most tourist destinations are quite safe in Europe. Use common sense, don't run into sketchy areas at night. Chances are, thieves are more interested in your wallet. Camera gear is typically not too easy to offload in stolen goods market.
Now on feel good story in a European city which is a alleged Hotspot for robbing. I would be really skeptical of walking down La Rambla in Barcelona. In the same city, I also left my entire camera gear in a taxi. Cab owner came back in an hour later to return my bag in my hotel.

I had a few bucks fall out of my pocket in the Las Vegas airport one time. Sin city right? Cash.
p.4 #13 · Are there any camera straps that cannot be cut?
The already-mentioned Pacsafe strap is cut-resistant. My wife has a Pacsafe product, with its shoulder strap being cut-resistant.
Another option is to wear the strap diagonally, over one shoulder, so that that the camera hangs by the opposite hip. Then, don the outer garment over the camera and strap. This makes the strap and camera less noticeable, and compels a thief to deal with the outer garment, as well as the strap.
More important than either, is to learn to look more like someone that a sneak-thief would rather not victimize, while not giving off a vibe that challenges anyone’s machismo.
