I had previously recommended the Zony 55 f1.8 instead of the 50 f1.2. For my use on a gimbal on a moving ebike on rough terrain, the 55 f1.8 is unreliable. It had the auto focus glue issue well known to Sony users. Now I discovered the same glue issue in the aperture control motor after only two shoots with the 55. I have stopped using the 55 and used the 50 f1.2 for 8 weeks with no issue.
The interesting thing was that viewers noticed this right away and asked me if I bought a cinema camera because the videos looked so good.
