It is a delight seeing everyone's wonderful photos and also a joy to hear from members who have not been active recently join in the fun. Here are a few more of my photos that were taken in the second half of 2022.
Have a Happy New Year Everyone!

This is always one of my favorite threads and this year's is no exception. Its a delight to see all these wonderful images.
Every year (actually I've been on a hiatus so this is the first year since 2017) I find my 13 best (high enough resolution in landscape orientation) wildlife photos and use them to get calendars printed for Christmas presents for family and friends. Usually folks have different favorites, but this year I was surprised that a number of people commented about this one. I obviously thought it was one of my best, but it wouldn't be my favorite.
Thanks for posting this link Morris... These best of Nature and Wildlife threads are among my forum highlights each year. I always find the work on this forum to be inspiring. Every year, the images posted never disappoint!
Since there was a similar thread cross-posted in the gear forum, I decided to post 5 different pictures...
Happy New Year to you all and my the light be with you (I'm binging Star Wars this holiday break )
regards,
bruce

Bruce, that Piebald buck is gorgeous! I've only seen 4 in my life (below is the 4th) but never one marked like that hansom fella. Nice work!
A few more favorites I was lucky enough to capture this year. These are my favorite furry friends shots.
Here's to a great 2023 photography year to everyone!
Dave
Thanks Dave...
I've been photographing this piebald since he was a fawn (4 years +). He's had his fair share of trauma that include an antler in the eye and some kind of intestinal hernia. While he recovered from all of this, he was found dead this autumn in the state park where he lived without human hunting pressures. The news almost brought tears to my eyes, as he has been an amazing muse for me throughout the years.
Dave, your elk photographs are some of the best elk images I have seen. There is a sensitivity to your compositional choices that reveal their beauty. Elk have some of the best eyes and fur of any cervids...
You definitely did some great work in 2022!
regards,
bruce
I really like the Terns watching the water spout and the Kingfisher dive.
The Terns seem curious about the water spout, as am I. What is making the water spout?? An amusing and memorable image.
You have posted the Kingfisher shot before. It's an amazing shot! Definitely one of the best of 2022.
