Finally I had the opportunity to spend a few days on the Faroe Islands. Such an awesome place! The nature, the weather and the light are just spectacular.
Simply breathtaking, especially that first image! Excellent work with light and atmospheric conditions. The Faroe Islands seem to rate right up there with Iceland as a photographer's paradise!
Beautiful location! I have come to realization that some locations are just to be enjoyed viewing them as photos just don't give the same feel. But your set definitely has a great feel to it.
By the way, most of the images (the 5th was shot with the Contax-Zeiss 100-300) were taken with the new Sony 16-35 f4 PZ. It quickly has become one of my favorite lenses.
Beautiful pictures and place...
I wonder if any rocks have fallen and taken any of those house out in second to last pix ?
Always wonder what it's like living in a place like this and survive. Food, ( obviously plenty of water )power, money, internet, sewer, store...etc, etc. I've lived out of town up to 56 miles but had quite a few luxuries so I know a little about living out of town. I'm fascinated with buildings like this and castles. ( Ruins of the Cathedral of St. Magnus of Orkney, especially the old Stave Churches )
On the Faroe Islands, living actually is quite easy. The roads are excellent, there are grocery stores and gas stations in every little village, the internet reception is excellent everywhere, people are nice, friendly and helpful. No problem at all. And danger of being killed by falling rocks is very low 😎
These pictures are just stunning! I've looked through all of them several times and each time I'm amazed all over again! We were so inspired that we had to watch a travel video about the islands and saw the beauty of these islands from even different perspectives. Thank you for taking us to this beautiful place! I would love to see more of your shots from this trip. You got my vote for sure!
