Super images. Love the second, so moody with the fog in the bottom, and sun shining through at the top.
Love the water patterns in the last image, great shutter speed choice.

A real treat to view! The 2nd image is worthy of a print, too! Enjoy all of your time out in Nature!
David. Thanks David, I’m absolutely enamored with my new mountain home

Nothing like a good Hooker first thing in the morning.
I was just up those falls myself a week ago or so. Beautiful area and you captured it well.
Welcome to the mountains!
Dave
. Thanks Dave, I’m still pinching myself with the realization that we live here

These images certainly drive the point home about the A1 being more than good enough for almost all photography.
Currently balancing an A9 and A7iv, but thinking about that A1.
Thanks for the kind words. I’ve had most of Sony aSeries, and am 100% content with the a1. I thought I’d miss the MP of the RIV, but absolutely haven’t and this camera really excels at everything I’ve thrown at it, from portraiture to air shows and BIF to landscapes. Can’t recommend it enough!

First fall in 40 years sounds like an old gent with a broken bone. I do have to keep myself in check ‘cause my rock-climbing billy-goat mentality still thinks I’m 20 but my knees always remind me otherwise

Actually, when I read your thread title, I immediately had a song in my ear...

Nice set. I have family in NC. I chuckled when I read about retiring and relocating OUT of Florida since so many do it the other way around.
Thanks! yeah after 40years sweating 24/7/365 and grinding thru 1/2 dozen hurricanes, I’ll gladly trade the Miami homestead for cool mountain seasons and a distinct absence of natural disasters

Thank you Terry, and the day was everything you want in a photography experience-full of peace and serenity for the soul and thankfulness for the opportunity to witness and capture the season’s awesomeness.
