p.1 #1 · Singing the praises of the jpeg output of the SL2-s
I had the opportunity to shoot a concert for the first time (The Yeah Yeah Yeah's at the Hollywood Bowl) 2 nights ago.
I brought 3 camera's... an A1 with the 70-200GM II (on which I wound up putting a 2x TC) an A7RIV on which I had a 24-70GM and the SL2-s on which I had the Sigma 135 1.8 L Mount.
Normally, I'd have pit and side stage access but because there was a film crew shooting the concert those area were off limits; relegating me to the sound board area and a very sharp side angle I barely used (and not at all with the 2s).
Additionally the lighting was also done for the film crew, which in this case meant no spotlights on the band members and a generally dark stage.
I only ever shoot RAW but had heard good things about the 2-s and its jpegs so decided to shoot it capturing both. I processed the RAW photo's late Thursday and forgot about the jpegs until this evening and looking at them now, knowing how tough the lighting conditions were - including the giant video screen backlighting them - I'm super impressed.
The pics aren't super exciting, all basically the same thing - I cropped most of the ones I sent to the band when processing them - but I'm sharing them for the great job the camera did. Note the first one was when the tech's were setting up and that's the kind of lighting - plus effects - I was expecting.

You mentioned cropping. What other adjustments did you make? To be clear, are these colors straight-out-of-camera? Hopefully too many years didn't pass to remember, because these samples are useful.
