Thank you ! Maybe they are not photographed so often because they are quite common in certain regions. However, here they are quite an attraction. Other most colourful birds are rollers (almost extinct ~10 breeding pairs in the whole country) and common kingfishers.

Jaw-dropping images, Michal! Not only you captured the colors of those colorful birds really well but you also did so while they were “eating” or in the process of flipping their meal.

Thanks. I try to make photos of different behaviours to make a story. Usually I fail and end up with portraits, but I still lack portraits of many spiecies and that is the first type of photo I try to get
