It looks like tamron has a common dip (softness) at the average focal length of 28 mm (starts from 24 and ends at 32 m) in the far field. We have three copies on the forum and two of them with a noticeable "bug"

Hi all!! Is there anyone using the 20-40? No images thread from it... Looks like there is no much love for this lens. I'm looking for some wide to pair with the 35GM and the tamron 70-180G1 and this 20-40 is interesting.

I've been taking a closer look at this lens, Dustin Abbott speaks highly about them

I use primes - 21mm and 40mm, so having these two lengths in one lens is advantage.
I did not like zooms 10-20 years ago, but I see that they are pretty ok nowadays. I was put off some time ago, now coming back with positive thoughts.
Maybe I should buy one and use as daily walkaround lens, I need to think about it a bit more
