I got a pleasant surprise yesterday while shooting an Osprey nest, out in front of me a family (raft) of River Otters magically appear and began their playful antics. For the next 10 minutes my attention was full on with the Otters before turning back to the Osprey nest.
What a nice treat Louie. You took full advantage capturing there delightful play. 3 and 4 show the other side of them and those barnacles on the sea weed adds so much color and texture to the images showing there aggressive expressions.
What a different and beautiful set. You have captured some wonderful moments. As Morris stated. The barnacles add another texture and dimension . Enjoyed each and everyone.
Wow, Louie what a treat and you captured it perfectly. Wish I was there. We found a family of river otters in Yellowstone last winter, it was -30 F so even got frostbite on my hands. Shooting was very hard because the channel of open unfrozen water was very narrow and they would cruise up and down the river under the ice so getting into a good position was difficult at best and had to guess where they would appear.

Thanks Morris, it was a treat for me to have this happening right out in front of me.

Thanks a lot Birdie, it was a deviation from what I was shooting at the moment.

Thanks Bruce, they do provide some entertainment from shooting birds.

Nice photos. Those little guys look like they “woke up on the wrong side of bed!”

So next time go out to shoot Otters and be rewarded with Osprey
Nice work on this 'wet set' Louie. Really nice to see something a little different. Looks like low tide and a pretty overcast day but you handled it well my friend!
