While I don’t *need* a printed manual there is something nice about it, isn’t there?
Thanks for the heads up.
Reading this post, I find it quite surprising that Leica doesn't include this printed manual automatically within the package of a purchased new M11 for the price tag given.

You would think, right?
I am an entry level Q2R owner though so it was kind of expected.

Glass half full ?
1. Save the resources for those that intentionally request a free copy instead of mass production only to sit never or rarely used in some box or drawer ( that's where my Sony paper manuals sit untouched)
2. Paper copy manuals can't be updated with new firmware features, improvements and changes as Leica seems to roll--out firmware updates relatively frequently from what I've seen so far, so it's back to online reference anyway
3. Digital copy is very convenient to view, scan, search and even cut and paste for reference--*TBH, Not sure if Leica updates the digital pdf copy either.
I don't know when Leica stopped shipping camera manuals automatically with the camera. I don't think I've ever received a Leica camera manual in the box...since my first Leica, the M10, or maybe I just didn't look.

With Fuji I preferred no printed manual going back to the days of frequent firmware updates. Totally agree that PDFs are pretty handy on phone for quick, searchable reference.

Full disclosure, I did order a free M11 manual after seeing this thread 😜 🤣. But I do prefer a digital reference for various reasons.

I don't know when Leica stopped this - I only know that the original box of my M-E 240 from 2019 included the manual booklet. At least for me it was very useful to have - yes, PDF also fulfills the purpose to find something, but sorry to say - for the price these cameras go for, a paper manual simply belongs inside the box!
Thanks Fred! I ordered one just to see what I may be missing.
But this shows just how good Leica's UI is. I figured out my M10-r in just a few minutes by working through the selections.
Sure, it's still nothing like the user manual for my M-A. A couple of sentences on the back of a postcard from Wetzlar:
"Film goes here. Wind lever. Set aperture. Set shutter. Focus. Shoot"
