Incredibly beautiful scene, carefully composed, perfect shutter speed for water movement and pleasing color palette that isn't over-processed. The capper on this for me is the gorgeous lenticular cloud hanging over the mountain.

Hi folks. I"m just back from a rather remarkable week in the Eastern Sierra backcountry with a group my fellow photographers. I'll likely have more details to share late — including enduring a deluge of Biblical proportions, far a beyond anything I've encountered before in decades of Sierra wilderness travel. Yes, we lived through it!
But if anyone was wondering why I failed to thank FM and the landscape board participants for selecting this photograph as the featured image... I haven't seen a computer of cell phone (much less a signal to connect one to) since about August 5!
