I ❤️ Florida!
Had I known how awesome it is, I would have moved here decades ago!
Yesterday while doing my morning exercise, I saw the light setting up for a whopper sunrise, so I ran back to house to get the camera. What a way to start a day!
Camera/Settings:
Sony A7R2
Canon 16-35L2 @16mm
f/18
100 ISO
0.8
Processing
All processing done in Lightroom, avoiding some of the damaging adjustments there (like the "Clarity, Texture, Sharpening...) then brought into Photoshop as a Raw Layer, and using the absolutely Lossless Raw Layer Workflow (yes, that vid is on the way) avoiding smart objects (they are not lossless) and adjustment layers (not lossless) almost completely (using Raw Layers instead) I processed this as conservatively as I could to relay to the viewer the color show I had the privilege of witnessing.
Processed on a monitor calibrated to:
2.2 Gamma
6500 White Point
and 130CD/Luminance - the general standard for web specs (depending on your editing environment brightness)...
Beautiful photo! I'm glad you are enjoying Florida. I don't believe there are many shorelines in Florida with flat rocks such as these. I've seen similar formations near Washington Oaks State Park.
The subtle play of colors on the rock is very cool !
Curious to know your preference to use Canon glass on Sony A7R2. Better glass and better sensor combination?

Thank you! Laziness to get a better camera at the time. I'm now shooting with what I believe is the best resolution camera in the world when coupled with great glass and the HD mode:
if that scene doesn't start your day off right, then something is wrong with you. amazing composition, colors, details. nothing to complain about. i am glad you are enjoying florida and am looking forward to you sharing more pictures like this one. thanks for sharing.
