Wow. What else can I say? I've always been content with North American wildlife but something about this post has me thinking. Combination of the description, imagery, and timing I guess.

Thank you for sharing your talent and the beautiful wildlife photos!
Kalahari is out of this world and the light there makes it nearly impossible to take a bad shot. thanks for viewing and commenting, James.
KD, your photos from the Kalahari are terrific! You really captured the variety of animals down there in the wet season. I can't believe I missed seeing your post for so long.
Hi Dalite
The geography of Kalahari is interesting. The Namibia part of it is mostly having red sand dune. The Botswana part of it has mostly white sand dunes. South Africa part has red and white sand dunes.
The roads that are motorable are like the gullies and runoffs in between sand dunes. I’ll post more pics of the animals on sand dunes later
Lastly you are absolutely correct about the darker and bigger maned majestic lions of Kalahari
Unfortunately we only had one good lion sighting and that was not a big black maned lion

I guess its not all sand dune safter all. By the way, I believe I read somewhere that the Kalahari is also famous for very dark maned lions. Can you comment on that?
What an experience! Beautiful pictures! Loved all.
Mansur
thanks so much Mansur sir. Kalahari surpassed my wildest expectation. the sighting were so unexpected and not as frequent so that made them even more special. the morning and evening light was to die for.

KD, what a wonderful set! Simply too many great images to pick my favorite or favorites. For sure they made me come back to this forum after going through a hiatus after two sequential cataract surgeries. And yes, they EMV!
Joshua

Kalahari is to die for with regards to people, light, natural beauty, flora and fauna etc.
