I've never done street photography before due to being nervous photographing others. But I just bought a lovely Fuji x100F off of @RickPerry and it's so small and unintimidating and I felt more confident. So, I took it for a spin around the train station in Newark. These are edited for contrast and adding vignette. Interested to hear your feedback.
Kenny, very sharp, classy compositions! Tones are done very well!
You are capturing a moment in time and that person is caught in that moment. Yes I also get a bit nervous shooting people but find people are most accomodating and at ease also.
If there is a person you want to shoot and they see you and give you the "evil eye", approach them and ask them if it is ok to capture them. The worst they can say is No! Just move on and another opportunity will present itself.
Good luck!

These are all good images Kenny, and the third one is stellar. You should only shoot what you are comfortable shooting, but the question, I believe, is not one of morality.

Appreciate the feedback.
I know that this is a sensitive question, but I'm very interested in what your opinions on photographing less fortunate people such as homeless people? I personally see their lives as interesting and want to share interesting stories through my photographs. But I acknowledge that the reason their lives are interesting are because they are less fortunate. So I'm a little conflicted.

Thoughts?
A very thought provoking question!
I always ask myself, "what brought them to this place?" If I have to opportunity to speak with this person I ask. If he/she wishes not to reply fine...but as the cliche' always sez, "a picture is worth a thousand words!". I wish the people who could make a difference would. I don't see that at this time sorry to say!! If I was Elon Musk(true entrepreneur of the highest regards), maybe I could make a difference or try to- and he is- just speaking about influence that becomes actionable results and of course..MONEY!!..I am not even close!
That is what brings this Forum to the front. All years, all places, all faces...a story built on images.
