Nice shots. It looks like you used telephoto for some of these. Is that correct and can it be done without needing to hike steep mountain side? Thanks.

Thanks Bobby. Yes, four out of five from this set were shot with a telephoto, I had up to 200mm on that trip and could have used more. #'s 1, 3, 5 were composed from near the side of the main road with a tele, and # 2 was made close to the road, just a short scramble along those rocks. I hiked the steep slopes to get to a meadow area for # 4. Definitely worth going in a good bloom year even without hiking.

Incredible pictures all of them. With California in severe drought who know how long until conditions like this appear again. Thankfully for us you got to capture and share these conditions with us!
